SynTech Bioenergy LLC, a Colorado based renewable energy company has opened an office in Hawaii.

The office located in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, will support local installations of SynTech Bioenergy’s thermal technology.  The technology converts biomass and other waste materials (wood chips, nut shells, fruit pits, etc) into clean energy.

The head of the new office, Chris Guay, was born and raised in Hawaii and has more than 15 years experience in the renewable energy industry.  “Energy security is a big issue in Hawaii,” Guay said. “SynTech’s biomass energy systems will contribute to the growth of local renewable energy resources and achieving the state’s goal of 100 percent clean energy by 2045.”
